Well, for example, if I go create a new document in MS Word and set various
words in Tahoma 10, 11, and 14, when I enable the speak text formatting
feature in the format options menu and cursor past the words. JAWS reports
11, 13 and 16 point respectively. If I make them bigger the difference gets
worse. A 36 point font is spoken as 41.
If I do the same in MSWorks, the difference between real size and spoken
size is often worse. An 8 point font is spoken as 10 point and a 16 point
font is read as 20.
While in WordPad, a 14 point font is also spoken as 17 and a 10 or 11 point
font is read as 13 but the difference between 10 and 11 is not detected.
How bout them apples?
