Most email programs, including Agent, have the ability to reply either
to the list address or the originator's address. In Agent, to do
this: (1) Press r to reply. (2) Press Alt-B to open up the header
dialog. You are placed on the subject edit field. (3) Press
Shift-TAB to go back one field to the 'To" field. Use the up and down
arrows to move through the list of addressees available. Usually two
down-arrows will take you to the originator's address, which means you
are now replying privately off-list.
