Eudora, message up or down

At work, I have several machines using JFW 3.3 and Eudora Light 3.0.6.

When trying to move from one message to the next, I should be able to use
alt plus up arrow or alt plus down arrow (while the message is open.  JFW
is grabbing this keystroke and doesn't let Eudora see it.  I've tried the
other combination allowed by Eudora (control plus up or down arrows) with
the same results.

Any help would be appreciated.
