Hi Alex,
Is your numlock key getting toggled to on when you lose speech? This might
account for the insertion of plus signs when you hit the jaws cursor. If
this is the case, could this be a clue to what is causing your speech to
stop?
These sorts of things are always tricky to figure out, but they are what
make computers fun and interesting unless, of course, the problem is
happening to you!
