Tom as has been pointed out there are many ways to assign a short cut key,
but here is the method I prefer:
1. From the desktop, hit tab, this will put you on the "start".
2. Hit shift+F10, this will bring up a contents menu.
3. Hit enter on "open".
4. Hit enter on "program", this may not be selected, so you may have to hit
the space bar, this will bring up all of your programs.
5. Hit the letter "j" until you select the JFW folder you want i.e:
"JFW331.
6. Hit enter on the selected JFW folder, "jaws" will be the first item, it
will not be selected, hit the space bar, to select.
7. Hit alt+enter on "jaws", this will bring up a "short cut page".
8. Tab twice, this will put you on "short cut key" (if you want
"ctrl+alt+j" as your short cut key, depress "j", windows will assign the
ctrl+alt). do not depress another key until you hit tab and move away from
this window. After moving to the next item you can go to your "jaws cursor"
and review your short cut key.
9. Tab to "ok" and hit enter
10. Close all dialogues, until you return to the desktop.
If this does not work, you may have "j" assigned to another program. I
would start by using the above procedure and checking all the JFW folders
for "j" assigned as a short cut key. If you find that it is assigned you
may unassign it by hitting the space bar while on the "short cut key", this
will then say "short cut key none".
