It's best to keep all system applications and files on one hard drive.
Usually this drive is C as the PC boots to the C drive. Sometimes placing
system files on other drives causes something to get lost in the translation
from one drive to another and into RAM. I know this as I have built PCs
since they didn't even have hard drives. When I say system applications and
files, I mean things like operating system, video drivers, sound drivers,
modem drivers, etc. Things that make the PC and all its peripherals function.
