Hi Pawel,
I remember you from the blinux mailing list on which there are many threads
about speech access for LINUX and UNIX by people using and producing screen
access software and methods because none of the major screen access authors
or companies including Henter-Joice support the UNIX platform.
this comes up on this list about once a month, always the same wisdom
dispensed.
You probably know that every time you use JAWS with Internet Explorer or
NetScape on the Web you are using JAWS with UNIX because much of the Web is
made up of UNIX based computers. Similarly, if you use JAWS to access a
Telnet application to connect as a terminal to a UNIX based machine you are
using JAWS for UNIX. It can, as you know, work well enough. It is, also as
you know not JAWS for UNIX. Nevertheless, there are those who insist that
there is JAWS for UNIX or LINUX.
As misleading as this may be to someone expecting to install say LINUX on
their computer and run it under JAWS access, there are those who insist that
it is not only possible but that they are personally doing it. Go figure!
