I wish I could tell you how to get the mail notification sound working. My
settings in OE 5 are the same as
they were in OE 4 and the settings in the sounds folder in control panel are
the same. The only difference is it works in OE 5, but everything else is
screwed up. When ever I use Control plus D or Alt plus left arrow Jaws loses
focus and I have to Alt Tab back

I'm using O E 5 and have not experienced what you are struggling with.
However, I cannot get my sound to cue me when a new message is received.
Any suggestions?
