Hi Stan,

I can not be certain but I think your problem is that you do not have a
sound programme like RealAudio configured on your computer. I may be wrong
about this but Internet Explorer to my knowledge does not have sound
capability built in to it.

Though I do not know that particular sound card well I believe you are
correct that it is a multi-channel device however getting JFW and Windows
sounds is not necessarily the acid test as both do not use the card at the
same time. You would be more likely to get an error message to the effect
that another programme is using the device, so I doubt there is a problem
with the card or at least not at this point.

Can you play music CDs on your CD-ROM drive?

I think you are missing a streaming audio programme which you can purchase
or download.

Not certain of the URL but I think it is:
www.realaudio.com

There you will find demo and fully functional versions, last one I got was
Realaudio g2 I think but I have heard that there is a more recent version.

Hope this is helpful.
