Hi John

the most popular scanner that is used by the blind as far as, i know from
this list and purchasing one with my own new system is the hp scanners which
is a hp6350c that comes with a ADF auto document feeder.

the microtech6 is also a good scanner as far as, i hear, but i don't have
any direct hand experience with it.

it is best to get a USB base model or a USB and SCSI base version for
connecting the scanner to the computer, but since it is a new system then it
will have at least one to two usb ports on it.

good luck...
