Thanks Ian, I appreciate your response. I finally figured out the problem
and it had to do with the firmware upgrade of the Express. After I installed
the firmware correctly, things have been running great ever since. It works
like a brand new one now that I upgraded. I had the 4.2cd drivers, but had
installed the software, but had trouble installing the firmware until the
other day. I forgot that in upgrading the firmware you acually have to do it
in Dos, and to do it in Dos you have to be able to type the dos commands,
dir\c:\dtexp and then LOAD 1 or whatever your com number is and it instals.
I wasn't doing that until the other day after lunch. Talk about somebody
feeling rather foolish, and after I did this it has ran great withJfw and
anything else I run with it now. Thanks.
