Hi, listers. I just spoke to an HJ tech support representative who was
very frank with me about a strange problem some people have going into DOS
boxes. What is it about some computers that allows them to go right into
the screen with the C:\ prompt, wheen you want to go to DOS from the start
menu, and what is it about other computers that keeps them from going
smoothly into DOS unless you go to the "run" dialog box and type "command"
and then press enter? I'm glad there's an alternate solution, but both the
tech support rep and I are a little mystified and curious to know what the
difference is here. Is it something on the screen we're not seeing? Thanks.
