It is indeed the case that the 128 bit patch was not available in the
original download or on the cd. It could not be placed on the cd for
security reasons and for some reason, the 4.0x 128 bit doesn't give you
the 5.0 one. I was puzzled over this too after I received a note in my
updates that the 128-bit patch was available. I've only been running
128 for a few weeks and unlike some others for some reason, when I
updated to 5.01, mine did transfer.
What else you get with 5.01 depends largely on what you have already or
elect to install. It is too lengthy to go into here but there is more
info about it on the microsoft site.
