Barry, it sounds like you are having the problem when you get the A drive
involved. If you use a floppy disk in your A drive during any session with
MS Word, when you go to close Word be sure the floppy disk is still in the A
drive until the program shuts down.  Even if you have most recently worked
with a file from your hard drive, Word will not shut down until it checks to
see if the last floppy disk you worked with during the session is still
there.    Do not ask me why this happens, it just does.
