Nobody suggested that killing was correct. It should be punished- by the law.
  Killing in revenge or as a punishment is not a correct way to stop killing. 
Neither is unnecessary violence. This is is a principle in judo, karate and 
other self-defence systems. Many of these systems owe something to Indian monks 
who travelled outside to preach religion.
