Dear Rita, You have my sympathy for your ordeal and understand your anguish for being reluctant party to the system of corruption which is common at all levels of government departments without which nothing moves.Do not feel guilty about what you had to do to get the passport which is your right. But at least you know and understand that it is not right and have dared to bring it up in this forum. I am fully with you and we should pursue this with the relevant authorities but you should be prepared to let your name go forward for this. I was looking in to this matter in the net to see how this can be followed up. CBI is happy to hear about such things but will not entertain anonymous complaints. They need to have the names of the complainants which they can keep secret. So please think about this and if you wish to follow this up, you will have my full support and I believe most members will do the same because some one has to stand up to these evils. - In [email protected], Rita Roy<[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Jharkhand [EMAIL PROTECTED]/live hi everybody every one in india and inaborad all indians are facing corruption and pay up bribes to indian itself. i have horrible experience of corruption in regional passport office ranchi, jharkhand.there all the staff are very much corrupt.even the man sitting in enquiry counter mr. banja demanded money for getting my passport ready . > i will tell the whole odreal .but whoever read this may do something to eridiacate corruption from the passport office ranchi.either they should tell their relatives , friends and even to the vigilance department c.b.i. to punish and expose this illegal affairs in this office which we and many of my friends anr facing. > i am a engineering graduate from BIT SINDRI.i got myself selected for TCS for which and to attend a training in singapore on behlf of company .i was in need for a passport .earlier when i went to submit passport form from dhanbad to passport office ranchi , on looking me many passport dalal started hovering around me and asked me to get my form submitted by them. i refused to attend them .they forcely picked my form just to check my document and make a small mark on the top of the form.and asked me to go and submit the passport form in the counter.the line was very long and there was no any separate line for ladies and girls. however after waiting for one and half hour i managed to reach the counter.there i see that the passport form checking officer Mr. parvez was checking and accepting a bundles of form from back door from his behind some of them were the familiar faces of the passport dalals . he kept me waited for 15 min.s even whenever I interrupt him to accept my form , he started grulleing and asked me to wait for more as he is busy in another important work .even afterthat when i gave him my application , he gave a look at the pages and said u r passport application is incomplete , go and get it completed .i had fully completed the form.i asked which column and document is incomplete he simply threw the application toward s me and asked me to give the form to that agent and he will complete it .and get off the seat and started talking to another agent.i went to an agent/dalal and showed my appllication to him he said that an extra charge of rs.500 will be charged to get it submitted by backdoor.there i thought that by seeing the mark of that dalal on my application , mr.parvez refused to submit it at the counter and let it comes to him by some other means.as the time of submitting the form is very much limited , if that day i will not submit the form then next day again i would have to come right from dhanbad.so i gave it to that agent rs 1000+500 to submit my form .the agent went inside the office and within a minutes he gave me the recipt of my application. then i have the sign of relive and feeling helpless too that how an agent and passport offical staff made me ot pay bribe.inspite of by best and tiring efforts. then the agent asked me that if i wants to get my passport early and urgenlty they will charge around 8,000 to 10,000 .i asked him out of 500 how much u paid to mr.parvez (checking officer).he replied that he gave rs200 to mr parvez and 200 to mr .raghunandan. who accept fees and rest rs. 100 was his commission .then i wondered that how much passport offical earn in a day.the agent replied that today he has submitted around 30 application himself alone and in an average aroun d 60 to 80 application are submitted by backdoor.so checking and fees staff earn daily aound 10,000 each everyday as blackmoney and right about one lakh per month. oh no....that much greater to the salary of our president.but it is india where a clerk earn more than our president.rest i will tell in next ....but u all should think that what punishment should be given to these.....hungry wolves....and i think how much they have charged for getting issued the passport of SHER SINGH RANA a muder accused fo miss phoolan devi who got his passport issued from passport office ranchi in fake name and identity and address. so I now have complete faith that wherever these parvez and raghunandan are there everything will happen at the lure of money.so, friend s let us join our hand s to atleast eradicate corruption from passport office ranchi.and punish those babus. > > > Rita Roy > > > > ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ > _________________________________________________________________ > Moderator Appeal: > > One of our moderator friend has got similar experience at Ranchi Passport Office. > > Here, we request you all to expose corruption / bribery in front of media.
