Dear All

Johar from Jharkhand….

It is very shameful for jharkhand government, is violating tribal & indigenous
people rights over their land in Dumka although PESA, Samtha Judgment,
customary rights and tenancy act giving them special socio-economic right to
live with Adivasi core values and dignity.

I strongly condemned against state power led by capitalist forces, which are
exploiting tribal peoples right and their natural resources.

One more important thing is that in Jharkhand policies, laws & provisions
whatever had and have possible regards the protection of traditional rights of
tribal communities, brought forth in the constitution, but the dismal truth is
that these were never enacted honestly. The Chhota- Nagpur Tenancy Act-1908 and
Santhal Pargana Tenancy Act-1949 are also the add in that, which prohibit the
sale and transfer of tribal land to non-tribals. But due the name of unexpected
developments, the lands were snatched forcedly from the tribal.
Kathikund-amragachi incident in dumka, Jharkhand is case of one of them. The
constitutional rights, provisions for the Fifth scheduled Areas and the
Extension of Panchayat Act- 1996 was never been implemented with the true
spirit in the tribal regions. Off-course, the ruling elites always misused
these laws for their own benefits.

As you are sound aware about of the community controlled and need based use of
natural recourses is recent requirement all over in world. Current development
policy is not only anti social it is anti nature too. As far as question for
right on the land, water, and the forests is termed anti–development. I am
suggesting socialistic ideologies- capitalism is far behind socialism because
socialism has very high principles and ideologies. It is very high time to
emphasize on listening to the voice of your heart not your mind. At last but
not least I am expressing concern on the senseless exploitation of natural
resources, especially the land and forests of Jharkhand that sadly the
government is against the community control over natural resources and hence
against socialism.

In Solidarity

Kumar Sanjay
