It works great on Controller and also on the Radio with its knob but it's a compromise on the Touch. The Now Playing screen which looks very different on the Touch is getting pretty good but the menu navigation haven't been optimized for touch screen usage yet IMHO. I think the problem is that there is too much scrolling required and there aren't any shortcut buttons which would make sense on the Touch but not on the Radio and Controller.
Unfortunately I think the desktop version of SqueezePlay is where it shows it's strengths least. It's not really built for mouse and desktop usage at the moment. It has been improved a bit since the Touch implementation but it still has a long way to go. usch;486196 Wrote: > > In other words, even if they don't make money with a desktop player > immediately, software can help selling hardware - and that's what > SoftSqueeze did for me, and SqueezePlay failed to do. > SqueezePlay can still be used in the same way as SqueezePlay to try the system before purchasing. Even though there aren't any full screen skin you are still able to use SqueezePlay with the Touch skin on a computer to get a feeling of how a real player works. There is no plan to change this because the developers mainly uses SqueezePlay on a computer during development. However, we probably won't the a specific SqueezePlay version optimized for desktop usage in the same way as we so far never have seen a specific version of SoftSqueeze optimized for desktop usage. -- erland Erland Isaksson 'My homepage' (http://erland.isaksson.info) (Install my plugins through Extension Downloader) (Developer of 'TrackStat, SQLPlayList, DynamicPlayList, Custom Browse, Custom Scan, Custom Skip, Multi Library, Title Switcher and Database Query plugins' (http://wiki.erland.isaksson.info/index.php/Category:SlimServer)) ------------------------------------------------------------------------ erland's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3124 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=71469 _______________________________________________ jive mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/jive
