Jan, If all you want to do is load a file from a web server then it works today: ./jmol 'http://www.rcsb.org/pdb/cgi/export.cgi/1D66.pdb.gz?format=PDB&pdbId=1D66&compression=gz' will launch the Jmol application and load the file from specified URL.
