Exactly. The future is now. The Java plugin is no longer usable on general
public pages. iPad users have no access, and more and more Windows-based
browsers are blocking Java or making it a royal pain to access it. For now,
we need to do some compromising. That's what platformSpeed is all about.
It's not a perfect solution, but it is a start.
One needs to pay some attention to optimizing any site to work well on
different platforms. That's just the way it is.
