I'd rather leave that up to you. What is needed is simply an answer to
these two questions:

1) If browser versions appeared tomorrow (because this group is suggesting
that browser designers "experiment" with the proposed change *now*) that
break all JSmol pages currently implemented, what effect will that have on
your operation?

2) If future versions of browsers end up implementing changes that break
current implementations of JSmol, what is the burden to you to update your
pages, provided I can find a way around the sync/async problem? This would
involve adding some code to every page using Jmol.
