I can't really say something from looking at the GIF files. If you could 
provide the GIMP XCF-File, saved immediately after loading the images as 
layers before setting to 'indexed' mode I could check it in GIMP.
Have you manually set 'indexed' mode using 'Floyd Steinberg' rastering 
or just saved the GIF file in 'RGB' mode?
