As'salamu Alaikom wr wb. Guys.. I know I might sound like a brat here but I just have a suggestion.
How about arranging a Linux conference in a place like Yarmouk University, for example, or at any other place you prefer in Irbid? The reason for this is that I'm getting really pissed off watching how these people here idolize Microsoft as if it was the Lord of technology and that nobody can even be close to them in strength and might and quality..!! >< Please guys, the people here don't even know what Linux is! One day I was talking to a friend and I told him I'm considering switching from Windows to Linux, and the first expression he made was "Why? You wanna upload shells to you domain?", and of course, this is the most stupid thing I've ever heard. Worse, when we started arguing about which is better, he said " Do not compare something made by a bunch of "schoolboys" (meaning Linux) to something that was made by professionals who spent their whole lives writing code and developing operating systems" and then he claimed that even NASA uses Microsoft, which I have no single idea where he brought that information from, but anyhow... So please people, take your time to think it through, but please do your best to accept this suggestion. You just accept it and leave the "negotiation with the principals" part to me.
