Sting told a great story on a UK chat show (Parkinson) last week. He said that when The Police first toured the States, their very first gig had just three people in the audience. A bit disappointed, he nevertheless invited them to sit down the front and chatted with them throughout the band's full-on high energy set. It wasn't until the end of the evening that he found out that these three guys were DJs from three different radio stations in the city - and each one promised to play The Police on their shows the next day.
