The thing I've never really liked about those guitars is the roundish plastic back which feels weird if you're sitting the guitar in your lap, it keeps wanting to slide off and the whole idea of plastic on a guitar seems strange. But they can sound very pretty...if you like the feel of it then it seems like a worthwhile purchase.
