Anne & anyone else who is interested in this: Read up on the music biz before you approach publishers...here are 2 good books- Donald Passman's All You Need to Know About the Music Business (he's a lawyer) & Tim Sweeny's Guide to Releasing Independent Records (even if that is not your goal...it will give you some basics about publishing & other business stuff).
