My first introduction to Bonnie Raitt came in 1975 on a compilation album I bought somewhere. I'd never heard of her and took a chance listen to her contribution, "Everybody's Cryin Mercy." I was blown away by her bluesy voice! The lyrics that I can remember went something like this:
"It's bad, bad situation... That's sho' nuff getting worse.... Everybody's crying mercy... When they don't know the meaning of the word....." Does anyone remember this song? I loved it! Sherelle
