Hi Sarah. Just my two cents worth though I am not as deeply involved into
Joni as others here and surely don't have the knowledge about her that some
of them do.

For me, C and S and Blue are at the top of the list with FTR. Hard to say
which is better, to me, as they have all touched me deeply in different
ways. If pressed, I would have to give FTR the top spot though for it is
incomparable.

LOTC and Turbulent Indigo are in the next group for me. I find TI great
driving music and love to listen to it while in the car. It has grown on me
while I have had it and I seem to like it more each time I listen to it.
Many don't care for Sex Kills, which I didn't the first few times I listened
to it, but now I adore it.

The rest of the albums (the ones I have and in this group I write about
Hejira, THOSL, Clouds, and NRH) don't do much for me as albums. I have
found tunes on each that I like but overall I consider them average to poor,
Clouds included. Hasn't mattered how many times I have listened to it, it
still bores me and I like Judy Collins version of Both Sides Now much more
than Joni's. Hejira seems to be a favorite here although I don't get it.
Do love Black Crow and Song for Sharon but can't find the appeal for Coyote
and think Blue Motel Room is just dreadful.

At the bottom of the heap is CMIAR. This is terrible, in my opinion, and
not worth the money I spent on it. Most of it I can't even hear Joni, which
is why I bought it in the first place. Apples and oranges but do get FTR,
you cannot go wrong with it and it will forever be close to your heart.

And: I haven't even heard DED. Have been tempted to buy it numerous times
but the comments here have scared me away from doing so. Might get up the
courage to spend that money one of these days. Also, haven't heard Mingus,
DJRD, or TTT. Have some more listening to do and that is something to look
forward to, if I can locate them.

Mack
