Lori, Saskatoon's climate basically ranges from minus 40 C to plus 40 C. The norm is around minus 20 in the winter, and we have long winters - November until May sometimes. June is warmer, July and August are mid-30s, sometimes 40. September and October are the only months I would call normal (being from the UK).

The spookiest thing I ever saw was trees with no leaves on them, and no flowers anywhere, in June. Makes you think you're on another planet.

People who were raised here are tough as a result, Joni Mitchell included, no doubt
