>>>>>>I LOVE this line, I LOVE this song and I LOVE the guitar work on this song.
This is one of my all time favorite Heart songs and album. And "Dream of the
Archer"... why doesn't anybody do songs centered around a mandolin
anymore??? Even in Bluegrass(which I can listen to only in small doses)
always uses them in the background or minor leads. This is a bunch of crap.
Someone needs to bring this instrument (and the lute) back into rock/pop and
most definitely back into classical!
Have any of you noticed that their is a lute playing a tiny part in T'log?
>>>>>>Will

I agree Will. (And Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart are big Joni fans.) They have a lot
of very nice music, but it is not what they are known for to the general public (more
their 80's pop hits penned by the folks who churn out formula songs.) Nancy Wilson is
an excellent guitar and mandolin player. They don't get the respect they deserve IMHO

Hey, have you seen Grateful Dawg, the documentary with Jerry Garcia and Dave Grisman
(sp?). Lots of mando on that.
