I listened to his version of "Ombra Mai Fu" and its the first time I heard
that one sung by a bass baritone. I don't know if I like Terfel's version
for there are vocal flights in the song that just don't do well with a
baritone. Any thoughts? When contralto Nathalie Stutzmann sang rare Mozart
arias in one disc, you marvel at her voice but the songs you associate
with sopranos just didn't do well with her voice.
