i chickened out, a little freaked out by projected unruly festival-style crowds, and the experience was so good for so many friends, i've kicked myself a bit. i was sent a tape a couple of days later, and less than a week after the concert i went into tomkins square park with headphones on a sunny summer sunday am.
listening to that version of 'summertime', the fourth song i think. my jaw dropped. i remember sitting in that park just stunned with joy. in addition to 'top five songs' 'top five albums' 'top five covers' i keep an interior and rotating list of top five experiences of hearing a joni performance for the first time, and her 'summertime' in that concert is on my list. patrick np - mary black >-----Original Message----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Deb >Messling >Sent: Wednesday, February 26, 2003 6:52 AM >To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Cc: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >Subject: Re: Re-Woodstock > > >I was one of several JMDLers who attended.
