I just had to write some people who would actually care and say WOW, I saw CPR in Northampton, MA last night and it was so freakin' good! A revelation. And, fortunately, I didn't *meet* Mr. Crosby before the show. ; )
I haven't followed the band at all and went just to see croz and hear some CSN tunes, but I loved it all. My god, Jeff Pevar was incredible. The whole band was incredible and smiling and laughing and hugging and kissing each other. I think they must have been psyched the tour was coming to an end. They played for 2 and half hours straight and there were so many highlights, but my favorite numbers were "In My Dreams", a very CPR arrangement of "My Country 'Tis of Thee", a kick-ass version of Triad (a song I never really cared for - but this killed), and we got treated to 3 encores. No "Delta" unfortunately. Which I would have loved to hear, but I'm not the type to shout out requests. The burly man seated behind me, however, took the opportunity to yell "For Free!!!!" at the top of his lungs between each and every song, which made me chuckle.
