I have been spending a lot of time with my eight-month-old (great!) nephew 
Nicholas. He is a joy. Being with him brings new urgency and poignancy to the 
need for peace in this world. (And I know he has little counterparts all over 
the world.) Wish I could come up with answers for this mess we're in, but all 
I have come up with is an idea that every soldier in the world should be 
required to have a note from his or her mother before going off to war.
