When the husband came home in the evening his ill-humour and impatience soon started. Quickly the woman took some of the miracle water and pressed her lips together so as to be sure to keep it in her mouth. Really! Her husband soon fell silent! And the storm was quickly over that day. The woman tried the secret cure several times: always with the same desired result. From then on her husband gradually changed. He answered her affectionately and even praised her gentleness and patience. The woman rejoicing over her husband's new state of mind, hastened to the saint and beaming with happiness told him of the result of the secret remedy. "It was not the water from the cloistered well I gave you, daughter, that worked the miracle," the saint answered laughing.
