WHY DID I CALL ON THE NAME OF JESUS AND NOTHING
HAPPENED? (THE NAME ABOVE ALL NAMES)
1. MISUSE OF THE NAME OF THE LORD
(HINDRANCE NUMBER ONE)
Many believers ask questions of this nature
especially those who are passing through hard times.
But the fact remains that God and His words are
unchangeable. If there is any change then it is we
that changed. However, the following are some of the
reasons why some people call the name of Jesus and
witness little or no results.
1. Misuse of the name of the Lord: God said to Israel
through Moses in Exodus: “You shall not misuse the
name of the Lord you God, for the Lord will not hold
any one guiltless who misuse the name of the Lord” (Ex
20: 7) So many Christians today have become so
familiar with the name of Jesus that the call it even
without reverence. While it is encouraged that the
name of the Lord Jesus should not depart from our
mouth, one should also be careful of when and how he
pronounces this precious name. God who exalted this
name would not be happy seeing this name trampled
upon. When one is found of misusing this name it may
not save one in times of trouble.
There must be true reverence for the name of Jesus, if
we must experience the power in it.
