Very nice! I like that you used an event to communicate a change - that's the smart way to do it. You should consider looking at the recent jQuery UI work - it's possible that some of the drag & drop efforts over there might help you out.
I wasn't able to figure out how to insert / delete rows - I was able to get them to turn red (double click) and green (single click) - not sure beyond that.
