why in jquery 1.2 they are removed ?
It was done for very practical reasons.
- a wiki is the best place to get people help improving the documentation
- backporting changes in the wiki to the source is extremely
timeconsuming and not worth the trouble
- creating other formats of documentation from the wiki is possible
