let me change that - i actually went and looked at the place i had
this working and it goes like this -

        $('#fileTreeIframe').load( function() {
                var $ifbody = $(this).contents().find( 'body' );
                $ifbody.css( 'height','auto' );
                $(this).height( $ifbody.height() );
        });

...need more coffee.
