I too am desperately trying to get this to work. I have created a new theme and selected Download three or four times. I have tried selecting all files for download, no files for download, some files for download, adding a custom theme folder.
Regardless, every download results in the same default theme content (smoothness) and NOT the custom theme. I have also tried clearing cookies etc. No joy.
