Now I a really confused. It is back to not working at all again, all items selected, no items selected; this has to be a cookie/caching issue of some description. It's driving me nuts.
I am going to clear my cache, delete all cookies, close FF and start over and see if that works. I have to get this theme created, edited and downloaded today.
