The tricorder revealed a typical Starfleet base camp for a survey mission. Residual radiation, burn patterns, and the like indicated that the battle was long past, some 4 days, and was quite fierce.
A few meters closer brought something interesting into range, life signs. Faint life signs from what appeared to be an Andorian and a Human.
