The Aqualish nodded. He hoped to find people rather than bodies. He tuned his tricorder in the direction of the compound and waited for the order to say it was all right to head in that direction.
The tricorder revealed a typical Starfleet base camp for a survey mission. Residual radiation, burn patterns, and the like indicated that the battle was long past, some 4 days, and was quite fierce.
"Okay, we're going to go towards the buildings, but we have to proceed with caution."

Then, he turned towards the security people. "I want you to keep an eye out for anything unusual, and let me know immediately."
Both security people nodded but didn't say anything.
A few meters closer brought something interesting into range, life signs. Faint life signs from what appeared to be an Andorian and a Human.[OOC: Which direction are the readings? DOes Steven see the readings as well? If so, proceed as follows. =) Otherwise I'll backtrack.]
"Okay, Mr. Caimlyn, since medical is your specialty, go check out the readings. I am going to proceed towards the buildings and see if there is anything I can find out."
