Pete wrote; I thought the issues with HSC 197 and Windows 7 64-bit had been worked out, but maybe not...Or maybe this is something particular to my system.
Phil replied: the issues are mostely worked out however, you will definitly experience issues with colour detection if you don't have you're theme set to Windows Classic. Also, there's currently an issue where by if a Window is in a disabled state E.G. if a band is disabled then, sets will fail, even if the set has been coded correctly to account for the Window state. Jim's looking into that at the moment. Pete wrote: here is an example of what I'm seeing: 1. On an audio track, insert the Sonitus FX Equalizer.. 2. In the FX window, hit ShiftControl+AltF1 to bring up the list of hot spots. Phil replied: that's not how you are supposed to use the sets. Use HSC Mods H pressed twice quickly to read the custom help for any of the HsC sets. Pete wrote: 3. Select "Band 1" 4. JAWS responds with a dialog as if I want to define a new hotspot asking "select a function to run when color ..." and under this are a whole bunch of options about speaking text, etc. the first time I do this, the color is goldenRod1 and if I do it again, the color is gray something. This keeps toggling. Phil replied: that's the colour detection issue that I am speaking about. If you set you're theme to Windows Classic then, that issue will go away. Pete wrote: 4. Try again and select 'band 1 disabled". 5. Nothing happens and JAWS says "band 1 disabled". There doesn't seem to be any way of enabling it. Phil replied: bands are enabled/disabled with Control numbers one through 6. The spot you're pulling up is one that's triggered if the actual band has been disabled by using the above-mentioned keystrokes. Pete wrote6. control+Shift+1 does not work. Phil replied: that's because we don't use any of those keystrokes any more as we have multiple spot rings in that set wich are accessed with Control, Alt Windows Tab. Pete wrote7: Selecting Frequency 1 = Alt +1 puts one in an edit box with a frequency (I assume this is correct). Phil replied; it is. Pete wrote: so, some things work, but others seem not to work. I've seen this behavior with other hot spots (like the compressor), where some items seem to work and others not work. I have my resolution set to the proper resolution as specified in the JSonar readme. I could not figure out how to set the Windows Classic colors and/or 32-bit color in Windows 7. this used to be in the Display settings of XP but I don't know where this setting went to (if it exists at all). Phil replied: you just need to set you're theme to Windows Classic. You will find that in: Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization Pete wrote: I'm also running JAWS 11 latest build. Phil replied: same here. Pete wrote: Has anyone else been experiencing these problems or is there something special about my setup. Phil replied: Nothing special about you're set-up. We are aware of the disabled Window issue. Pete wrote: I just went through the trying to use the Session Drummer 3 HSC sets with chris Belle on the phone for a long while. again, some hot spots seem to work some of the time while others just didn't do what one would think. Let me know if I can help work this out in any way if it is a prevalent problem for others. I'm stumped right now. Phil replied: thanks for the offer of help however, there's nothing that I can think of that you can do to help us out with this. Pete wrote: thanks. Phil replied: you're welcome!
