Well, I must say, I never really tried to add a different amount of the same FX to two different tracks, but I didn't see how it would work. The example I am thinking of is adding a different amount of compression to two different tracks. Here is what I tried: 1. On the first track, add compression via the FX context menu. 2. Then, of course, the compression FX window pops up and you can add whatever compression you want. 3. Now, if I go to a second track and hit the context menu on the FX field, I am put back in the compression FX dialog. Now I always assumed this was the same compression dialog that popped up before. If another compression FX dialog had popped up, how could I tell which dialog was for which track's compression? I didn't think I could have multiple compression dialogs pop up (one for each track) and be able to tell them apart (if they were really distinct). The same goes for adding different eq FX to several tracks. That is why I wanted to use the per track eq from the track inspector. Am I wrong? Can I actually attach the same FX but different amounts to multiple tracks? If so, how, and how do I tell each FX dialog apart for the various tracks? Thanks. Who would have thought! I would never have found out that this is the way to get the 4 bands visible (albeit one at a time). Thanks a bunch. Now I can apply different eq to different tracks. I couldn't figure out how to do that from the FX dialogs. Seems like if I add one of the sonitus effects, then it applies to all tracks that have that effect loaded. BTW, Phil (I believe) did a great job of putting together HSC sets for the multi-band equalizer. One of the neatest things is that you can set up an effect and then slide the frequency around using the frequency shift list item. For your EQ band problem: In the module options, go to eq and plot submenu and make sure that 1 band is checked. For some reason the 4 band eq doesn't work with JSonar. Once you have 1 band eq enabled, You can then go to the "EQ disabled" button and press ENTER to enable the eq. Press down arrow to the band button and press ENTER on it. A context menu will come up giving you all 4 bands. Arrow to the one you want and press enter on it. All other controls in the eq will be for that particular band. You should be able to change bands without losing the settings for your other bands. Haven't tested, but worth a try. 2. For you not being able to hear any changes, you need to make sure the band you are working with is enabled first. Just because it's displayed, doesn't mean it's enabled. You need to enable the eq, enable the band and then make your changes. This should work with prerecorded tracks as well as realtime playing. EQ is EQ. It shouldn't make a difference. Let me know if you have other things that need sorting out on the eq.
