I've spent quite a bit of time over the past couple of days looking for some
information on how to define custom tags and use them in the taglib.
What I want to do is separate out some page components from my site and be
able to maintain them separately from the rest of the site. This way I never
need be concerned with the look and feel of the site and am able to
move/copy various components to and from different sites. It's my
understanding that the new JSP specification allows us to do something like
this but I can't find any info on how it's done.
I have noticed some discussion of the "taglib" on this newsgroup which is
what I understand to be the container for all custom tags. However nobody
has gone into any detail of how to use it.
Does anyone know where I can find out more information on defining and
implementing my own tags???
