JSP Newbie

Howdy All,

I'm a web developer/perl and JavaScript programmer, and I'm trying to
figure out what some of the benefits of JSP *really* are over using SSI
combined with JS and Perl.

Many of the examples I've seen replicate these combinations. Of course
these were simplistic samples.

I do alot of 'online only' databases and search engines on these
databases which output some form of HTML page. How would using JSP
improve or speed this up?
