If you are in favor of text editors, what is it about HomeSite that you don't like?
Dreamweaver makes terrible HTML (I know I've been hired to fix it and had to do it
here at work). HomeSite, on the other hand, doesn't make HTML because its text
only. I've been using it for years (not a GUI), for various web development
languages, including JSP now. I love the flexibility of the editor, and the power
of being able to customize the tool, including being able to create code snippets
(our development team has created a repository of code snippets that we all share),
wizards, custom color coding, spell check, remove tags, validate your documents
(we've added the JSP tags so we can validate those, and you can add any tags you
want to validate). I could go on an on, but there are so many features that you
would really have to use it to come to appreciate them all.
