Hi BRN,
The command you used is not correct.
Command should be..
javac -J-Djavac.pipe.output=true Hello.java>error.txt

One more thing...
If you don't have any error in your source code ..still an empty error.txt
file will be generated.

Just try it out and let me know whether you succeeded.
