Hi Peter,
I am trying to add classes12.zip to my classpath.
Does this look good (this is from catalina.sh):
# ----- Set Up The System Classpath
-------------------------------------------
CP="$CATALINA_HOME/bin/bootstrap.jar"
if [ -f "$JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar" ] ; then
CP=$CP:"$JAVA_HOME/lib/tools.jar"
fi
# convert the existing path to windows
if [ "$OSTYPE" = "cygwin32" ] || [ "$OSTYPE" = "cygwin" ] ; then
CP=`cygpath --path --windows "$CP"`
CATALINA_HOME=`cygpath --path --windows "$CATALINA_HOME"`
fi
CP=$CP:"$JAVA_HOME/lib/classes12.zip"
echo "Using CLASSPATH: $CP"
echo "Using CATALINA_HOME: $CATALINA_HOME"
thanks!

Tomcat 4.0 creates a blank class path in a script.
You can edit the CLASSPATH in the "catalina.sh" script
But becareful!

Subject: TOMCAT CLASSPATH
How do I add a entry in the TOMCAT CLASSPATH?
I am ROOT and I put this in my .bash_profile (linux):
CLASSPATH=/www/jdk1.3.1/lib/classes12.zip; export CLASSPATH
When I start TOMCAT it still says:
Using CLASSPATH:
/www/jakarta-tomcat-4.0-b5/bin/../bin/bootstrap.jar:/www/jdk1.3.1/lib/tools.
jar
Any Ideas on where to put this?? Is there a config file??
thanks!
Troy Campano
